With its open concept kitchen, this cozy restaurant is one of the hottest spots on the Toronto dining scene. The owner of the premises, Jacob Wharton-Shukster, celebrates a cuisine based on simple and fresh products, but whose composition can sometimes be surprising. Otherwise, several great classics are on the slate, such as the entrecote steak with pepper and the chicken ballottine with truffle sauce. As the place is easily overrun, the ideal is to arrive shortly after opening time, or much later.
