Located in a restored early ^19th century building, Chez Piggy ("the Pig" to its friends) is probably the most popular restaurant in town. The chef's cuisine is fresh, creative and responsible, inspired by his travels and discoveries. Add to that a garden terrace that is considered one of the prettiest places in Kingston in the summer, and you'll understand the general craze for this place. At Atomica, the pizzas are very good and hearty, prepared in the purest Italian tradition. It also offers salads, sandwiches, pasta and dishes to share, including a fine selection of cold cuts. But you come here mostly to eat a homemade pizza accompanied by a good glass of wine or a signature cocktail (more than a dozen). The service is courteous and the atmosphere hushed. A Kingston classic that won't empty your wallet!

Facing Lake Ontario, in the Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning, is this friendly little café. The kitchen team sources local farms and producers for a simple but tasty menu. The place mainly prepares gourmet sandwiches, as well as homemade soups and salads. Gluten-free and vegan options are also available, as well as coffees from Canadian roasters and sweet treats (pastries, muffins, cookies, etc.).

A typical North American restaurant chain where hamburgers, salads, chicken wings, nachos, squid and more are served. The servings are always generous and the dishes are very different.

Coffee is delicious, burgers and salads are original. We recommend you the hamburger sauce sauce and the delicious Greek salad. The selection of beer is interesting. In Stooley's we appreciate the diversified menu and small prices.

Jamie Hodges and Amber Thom are behind this gourmet address opening in 2019. Formerly owners of the Juniper Cafe, they sold it to create their own eatery, established in the historic center of the city. With its beautiful Mid-Century style decor, it offers small and large bistro dishes, all concocted with seasonal foods from about 20 local farmers and producers. The wine list and cocktail list are worth a visit. Bonus: a wine store to take away, open the same days from noon to 6 pm.

Just steps away from the waterfront, Dianne's delights seafood lovers with dishes that combine the cuisine of the North American East Coast and Baja California. Lobster rolls , fish & chips, oysters, tuna steak, but also tacos, smoked brisket sandwiches, grilled meats, etc. Enough to make you want to go there right away! Nice selection of mocktails for those who would like to drink something other than alcoholic drinks.

Northside Espresso + Kitchen is a beautiful, bright space with a definite hipster feel. It's the perfect place to enjoy a good coffee from Monogram Coffee (Alberta), a cocktail and/or some creative home-cooked food, many of which are gluten-free and/or vegetarian and made with seasonal organic produce. It's good, it's fresh and it's perfect for a healthy breakfast or lunch!
