ARNPRIOR & DISTRICT MUSEUM

The building occupied by the museum, the former post office erected by Thomas Hall (architect of the original Ottawa Parliament Buildings), was saved from demolition by the generosity of David and Jessie Gillies in the 1960s. This building is now identified as a symbol of the city. The museum's collection is housed on two floors and includes unique artifacts, photographs, clothing and instruments, a legacy of the city and its region.
