A site housing a battery, the largest in Normandy, discovered by Gary Sterne, the landowner.
An astonishing site, around which controversy has been rife. In 2006, Gary Sterne, the English owner of the land, claimed to have discovered "one of the most important German batteries in Normandy". Historians denounced this as a "sensational pseudo-discovery". In any case, this German battery, which seems to have been forgotten for almost 60 years, was part of the Atlantic Wall.

Site très mal entretenu voir à l'abandon et sale (déjections humaines avec papier toilette.....) certains devraient se remettre en question .. bref à éviter

A real hidden gem near Omaha Beach and Pointe du Hoc. Been to Normandy a few times and for some reason always missed this place. Definitely visiting again on our next vist.

Walking through the trenches at Marisy Battery certainly feels that you get there experience of what it might have been like back in 1944. You can only imagine what day-to-day life was like before D-Day invasion happened. I would certainly recommend going and I’d also like to say thank you to Emma who gave us a lot of background information. Pleasure to meet her and some of the stories. ???????????????? thank you so much.

Was a nice walk in the the tranches and through the bunkers that are still accessible. A few canons are also still there.
