Saint-Félicien's wild and traditional zoo is divided into six geographical sectors, home to an amazing wildlife.
People in cages, animals in the wild! A unique concept and one of Quebec's great attractions for over 60 years. One of its most popular activities is the famous Nature Trails Park. Sitting in a screened-in train, you'll take an unforgettable ride across Canada from east to west, among its astonishing wildlife: black bears, white-tailed deer, arctic wolves, prairie dogs, bison, moose, musk oxen, etc., all evolving in their natural habitat. The site also includes a traditional zoo on Île-aux-Bernard, through which a cascading river flows. This pedestrian section features animals from Borealie, the mountains and cold regions of the globe. Six geographical sectors are represented in this section: Asia, Mongolia, Mixed Forest, Arctic, Mountains and Small Farm. Don't miss the polar bear habitat, or the Canadian beaver habitat and immersive interpretation pavilion, offering a unique view of the beaver lodge. Younger visitors will also enjoy watching the zoo's inhabitants feast on their snacks (see website for hours). Also on site: a family area, a restaurant, a creamery, three boutiques (local produce, crafts, clothing, stuffed animals, etc.), water games and a cinema open to all, showing the latest theatrical releases (in French).

While in Saint-Félicien, be sure to visit the Zoo Sauvage. With its vast natural habitats, this wildlife park is a must for animal lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. You'll discover over 70 species of animal, including white-tailed deer, arctic wolves, prairie dogs and musk oxen. To make your visit as enjoyable and memorable as possible, the park offers a variety of activities. For example, you can opt for a train ride, an original option for exploring this jewel. On board, you'll admire the beautiful scenery as you pass by, as well as bison and other animals in their natural habitat. The site also offers walking trails, suitable for all levels of hiker. As you stroll along, you'll be accompanied by the songs of various birds, and your itinerary will be punctuated by enriching visits. You can stop off to discover the wonders of the vivariums or visit the mini veterinary clinic. The zoo also boasts a Boréalium, where you can enjoy multi-sensory shows, watch 3D animal documentaries and explore a fascinating exhibition.

MAIS…
Nous sommes arrivés au parc ce mardi 22 avril 2025 et impossible de prendre le train car fermé pour période de dégel… restaurant fermé pour aucune raison et boutique souvenir fermée aussi pour aucune raison.
Nos billets ont été achetés à l’avance au mois de décembre car nous avons planifier un voyage au Canada et aucunement cela avait été annoncé même en une cause de possibilité. Bien au contraire il est dit que le train fonctionne toute l’année.
Bref nous n’avons pas compris et plutôt été très déçu,
Cest sans dire que le prix n’a pas été revu à la baisse non plus… inacceptable.
Je vous recommande donc le parc au vu du bien-être animal et des enclos, mais attention à votre planification.
