This bridge is the first in the world made from an aluminium alloy. Its weight (163 tonnes) corresponds to one third of the same steel bridge. Inaugurated by Maurice Duplessis in 1950, he crossed the Saguenay River and did not move by a millimetre.

Un des rares ponts à traverser la rivière Saguenay et l'unique au monde à être construit dans sa totalité en aluminium. En dehors de cette anecdote, le pont n'a rien de spécialement intéressant touristiquement.
