It's the region's largest city, on the banks of the Saguenay River. The fjord ends just before Baie des Ha ! Ha ! in the La Baie area. The towns of Chicoutimi, Jonquière, La Baie, Canton-Tremblay, Shipshaw, Laterrière and Lac-Kénogami are now united under the name of Saguenay. But don't be surprised if many reluctant locals rarely refer to the city of Saguenay, preferring to use the name of their own borough. Chicoutimi, Jonquière and La Baie are home to the majority of points of interest and good places to stay for a few days.
