Once a confectionery, the Trappists became owners in 1944 before officially incorporating the chocolate factory in 1978. Its reputation now extends beyond the borders of the region, and people come from far and wide to obtain their delicacies, especially the dark chocolate-covered blueberries, the monastery's flagship product.
