RIVERBEND HERITAGE DISTRICT

15 minutes walk from downtown Alma, you will discover what was the smallest city in North America in the 1920s. Indeed, a few dozen houses of northeastern American architecture were built between 1924 and 1926 to accommodate the English-speaking senior executives of the Price Brothers company. It will become a district of the City of Alma after the merger of the cities in 1962. Riverbend has a cultural heritage that is part of the Almaty heritage.
