The perfect place to dive head first into the heart of the culture and traditions of the Huron-Wendat nation of Wendake.

This native village offers a faithful reproduction of the Huron-Wendat way of life, from yesterday to today. You'll visit the traditional longhouse, see a smokehouse and meat dryer, a sweat lodge where boiling water is thrown over stones, and a giant tepee made of boat sails. Numerous activities on offer: tomahawk throwing, storytelling and legends, medicine wheel making, etc. Also on site: First Nations arts and crafts boutique, Nek8arre restaurant serving traditional Wendat cuisine.

Dans un quartier résidentiel se situe le site Huron, il y a une visite de 45 minutes pour environ 14$ qui vous permet de voir comment les Huron vivaient, c'est assez intéressant, cela reste touristique mais... il y a aussi une boutique de souvenirs avec des produits fait main, c'est appréciable !

Village très bien reconstitué qui représente la vie des Huron. Nous avons été accueilli par des montagnais en costume traditionnel, super sympa et qui répondaient avec plaisir à nos nombreuses questions. Le spectacle est sympa. Je conseille le repas, c'est très bon et ce sont des plats traditionnels.
