OMEGA PARK
Petit Futé's opinion on OMEGA PARK

Omega Park is an open window on the nature, wildlife and history of Quebec and Canada, from the province's First Nations to the colonization and agriculture of yesteryear. It is a place where young and old alike will find themselves immersed in a nature that was at first unspoiled by wildlife, then gradually inhabited by their ancestors. The visit to the park begins with a 12 km safari in your car, from which you can approach and feed some wild animals in complete safety. Several walking areas allow you to get out of your car and enjoy the many activities and attractions on offer:
The First Nations Trail offers a one-kilometre walk decorated with the works of Algonquin artist Denis Charette. In addition to the symbolic decorations at the entrance, there are totems along the trail that evoke the eleven Aboriginal nations of Quebec. The many trout in the lake can be fed.
Halfway along the trail is the Pioneer Land, the heart of Parc Omega. There are several attractions and activities as well as a restaurant offering local products. From there, there are many walking trails (snowshoes in winter), including a path leading to the activities: a birds of prey show (summer season only) and a presentation of a wolf pack and explanations of their social life.
The trading post recalls the coureurs des bois and trappers who penetrated the wilderness in search of furs. As for the Lumberjack's Camp, it highlights the era of the log drive as well as the tales and legends of Quebec.
Atwo-storey wolf observatory: an open-air section offering a true natural theatre and a glassed-in section for an up-close immersion with a pack of grey wolves.
Omega La Nuit: a new nocturnal experience in the heart of nature during the summer season (June to October). Once night falls, you can venture out on a 1.5 km walking trail and appreciate the beauty of Quebec's nature in all its simplicity through a sound and light experience.
Other activities: aerial course, sugar shack (February to April), old-time farm and more
Lodging: The park also offers accommodation in the wilderness to extend the pleasure, in teepees, Wi-tents (ready-to-camp formula), pods, cabins and houses on stilts. For a unique experience, we offer sleeping with the wolves, an exceptional and safe accommodation in the middle of the pack.
