Memorial dedicated to the daily lives of people in times of armed conflict in Falaise

Housed in the former courthouse since 2016, this is one of the few museums dedicated to the civilian victims of the Second World War, and incorporates the ruins of a house destroyed during the bombardments of summer 1944. Count on 1h30 (and a lot of reading, perhaps a little too much) to discover the daily lives of these men, women, and children who, for six years, lived through the Occupation, the exodus, the restrictions, the bombings, and then the Liberation. La libération vécue par la population
Cheminement de l’occupation à la reconstruction en passant par la Libération sous forme d’un cheminement clair, documenté et enrichi d’objets rendant poignant le parcours des civils (nous) a propos d’une époque que nous ne devons pas oublier pour ne pas la vivre à notre tour dans ses affres
Une mention particulière pour l’expo Temporaire des jouets dans la guerre
Je suis familier des musées de la libération, celui-ci est un complément indispensable
A noté un accueil très sympathique avec des conseils pertinents

mémorial construit sur une ancienne maison d'un docteur détruite durant la guerre 39-45. la salle de vidéo projection est établie sur un sol en verre en dessous duquel on peut apercevoir les débris et reste de la maison; la visite du mémorial se fait surtout grâce à des témoignages de personnes ayant vécu la guerre . peu d'objets.
