LENNOXVILLE BOROUGH (CITY OF SHERBROOKE)

This Anglophone educational and cultural centre of the Eastern Townships is located at the confluence of four rivers: Massawippi, Coaticook, Salmon and Ascot. The famous district of Sherbrooke houses Bishop's University whose remarkable building, dating back to 1843, is very similar to Oxford University in England. The Massawippi River is crossed by two bridges covered, typical of Quebec. The art gallery and the university chapel are of great aesthetic interest.
