Fort dating from 1839 with buildings inside a wooden palisade, with exhibits recalling the life of the soldiers of the time.
Built following a border dispute between Canada and the United States in 1839, it sank into oblivion, and its remains were found during an archaeological dig in the late 1960s. Faithful reconstruction took place in the 1970s. Today, Fort Ingall comprises eight buildings set within a wooden palisade. Exhibitions and a guided tour give you a better understanding of the soldiers' lives in the geopolitical context of the time. Dormitory accommodation on reservation (mid-June to mid-October).

Le Fort Ingall est situé à Cabano tout près d'un poste américain et à 50 kilomètres du Nouveau-Brunswick. Il s'agit d'une véritable reconstitution d'une forteresse britannique érigée en 1839 alors qu'on assistait à un conflit entre les États-Unis et le Canada. Depuis peut, on présente une nouvelle exposition permanente racontant l'histoire de cette guerre .Visites guidées, animations historiques et démonstrations militaire sont offertes en saison estivale. La reconstruction de cet emplacement respecte bien l'histoire passée
