BLACKWHEAT BREWING CO.

Located about 10 blocks from Brandon University, this microbrewery opened in August 2021. Its name refers to the city's history, which is closely tied towheat farming, and even beers offer a nod to the past, like the Empire Ale (a West Coast-style IPA) that recalls Brandon's first brewery, Empire Brewing, which closed nearly a century ago. Several other types of beers are offered at the tasting room, to be consumed on site or to take home.
