SECWEPEMC MUSEUM & HERITAGE PARK

Interesting museum to understand and learn a lot of information about the culture of the Shuswap people. A one-kilometre trail leads past the archaeological site, a former winter camp dating back more than 2,000 years, and then to the four reconstructed underground houses. Also not to be missed is the ethnobotanical garden where ancestral medicinal plants used by Amerindians for thousands of years grow.
