Travel Guide Mission

Founded in 1892, the town of Mission is a meeting place for several native communities and later for agricultural communities. Mission also hosts a very renowned folk music festival that rivals Vancouver's: Mission Folk Music Festival in July. The rest of the year, the festivals celebrate the cultural diversity of the region. Known for its fishing, mountain biking and cultural sites, this community located 1 hour from Vancouver has nothing to envy its neighbours in the Fraser Valley. Mission's diversity gives a sense of fulfillment to every visitor to the city, whether through its festivals, neighbourhoods, businesses or even its people... it feels good!
