The Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Délivrande is remarkable for its proportions and the luminosity of its interior

The two immense towers of this basilica stand in the heart of Douvres-la-Délivrande. Built between 1854 and 1878 in the neo-Gothic style, it is remarkable for its proportions and the luminosity of its interior. The choir, with 11 stained-glass windows and 34 wooden stalls sculpted by Jacquier, a famous sculptor of the time, is splendid, revealing all its beauty when a ray of sunlight shines through. And let's not forget the Black Madonna dating from 1580, and the white marble paving in the sanctuary.

Impressionnante basilique avec de très beaux vitraux. Elle se trouve à proximité du centre-ville donc ça vaut le détour. Ne pas hésiter à faire le tour à l'extérieur pour voir les différents bâtiments, ainsi que la belle façade de la pharmacie.
