A barber of profession, Richard C. Purdys tried his first chocolate experiences in his kitchen before selling them on the street in his residential area in Vancouver. He developed a small business that found his clientele, excited by his sweet sweets. In 1907, Purdys installed workshops and shop on Robson Street. Purdys Chocolate was born! Since then, the company has often been among the top 50 companies for which work in Canada is Working.
