Passage between Galiano Island and Mayne Island, prized for its rich nature and views of Bellhouse Provincial Park.

Active Pass is a passage that separates the island of Galiano and the island of Mayne. The pass is popular with boaters and ferries and offers incredible views of Bellhouse Provincial Park (at the end of Jack Road) and Montague Harbour Provincial Park. Orcas and whales can often be seen swimming in groups in the Strait. The nature of the area is incredibly rich and diverse. From north to south, the Active Pass Strait stretches nearly 5.5 km. It is an essential passage during a stay on the island.
