Manor house offering rooms served by a magnificent corridor on the floor.

This is a warm house that is not a fashionable cliché. The faithful have been coming here for generations to spend the weekend. That's what it's all about! You will be seduced by the history of this 17th and 18th century building. Anne-Marie welcomes you with kindness and elegance in the lounge. Upstairs, a reading corner and four bedrooms, served by a magnificent corridor. No television here, but objects, guardians of the past. We are out of time. We say to ourselves that we should cross the porch of this manor more often.

Nous avons passé 3 jours merveilleux dans ce manoir au charme suranné et néanmoins très confortable. Anne Marie Poisson nous a accueillis de façon délicieuse et naturelle. En bref nous avons eu l’impression de passer quelques jours chez des cousins dans une demeure familiale pleine de charme ! L’atmosphère était tellement sympathique ! Emplacement idéal non loin des plages du débarquement.

Es una casa preciosa, con una anfitriona extraordinaria, una señora ya de edad, con mucha amibilidad, y dispuesta a aconsejarte en todo lo que le preguntas, las habitaciones son muy clasicas, de la epoca mas o menos en que ella se quedó la casa, tienen baños todas las habitaciones, unos mas grandes que otros pero muy completos. La ubicacion ideal para poder descansar y hacer ruta que era lo que nosotros estabamos haciendo.

This was a very unique place to stay , in Crepon, just outside of Bayeux, when visiting the D Day sights. It is not a conventional hotel but what is called, I believe, a gite. As such our room was very large, and was equipped with a kitchen. The furnishings were quite unique, and the hospitality of the owner and the manager were most pleasat and accommodating. We had to change the dates of our arrival and departure and that was met with total flexibility and pleasantries. There is a breakfast which we did not try. The residence is located several miles from Bayeux, the last four or so of which are located on a narrow road, so just remember to take it slow. Also, the nearest restaurants are about 15 minutes away, and since we did not want to go out after 7 PM (when they opened) we brought in food from a supermarket. Highly recommended.

Madame Poisson was a fantastic hostess to my friend and I as soon as we arrived. She made sure we knew where everything was once we were shown to our room, and made sure we had all that we needed. Our first night we were discussing dinner so she recommended a place not too far that had delicious meals (try the duck!) and even called to make our reservation. At breakfast she always had the table set and ready with an assortment of breads, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, fruit and hot coffee. She made our stay feel so comfortable as it felt like she was a mother hen making sure we were always happy and never needing anything. The room we stayed in was very spacious and had a lovely view of the local church. I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. We had a rented car and went to Omaha beach one day and Bayeux.
