Situated 45 km from Mysore, this ancient town is completely buried under sand dunes and only the beautiful Vaidyeshwara temple, with its dravidian style, is visible. This temple is désensablé and open for adoration of the goddess on special occasions, once every twelve years. The next pilgrimage will take place in 2021.
