JAGADHATRI PUJA

As Chandernagor is a city apart, the major sociocultural event is not the Durga Puja as in all the rest of the country, but the Jagadhatri Puja which takes place at the same time (at the end of October or beginning of November). The difference between these two pujas is sought in tantric literature. The festivities attract tens of thousands of people every year.
