KESHI GHAT
Ghat, one of the last remnants of the city, highly prized by pilgrims for its history and by photography enthusiasts
This ghat is very popular with pilgrims, as it is here that Lord Krishna is said to have killed the demon Keshi, who appeared in the form of a gigantic horse. Krishna is then said to have taken a purifying bath in the Yamuna River. As in Mathura, you can borrow a boat to take a ride on the water to the bridge, from where you can walk back to the town of Vrindavan. This is a great place for photographers, as there's always something going on. The Keshi ghat is one of the last remaining ghats in the city.
