These people should be awarded a medal! The volunteers and salaried staff of the Association d'Aide à Domicile en Milieu Rural (ADMR) have become indispensable to many Calvados residents: families, the elderly and people with reduced mobility. In addition to the multitude of "small" services they offer - housework, meal delivery, childcare - some are trained in nursing. Most of them work behind the scenes to maintain social links. Rates are kept down, and the area of intervention is vast.
