The inevitable Café Hafa has seen many personalities come to enjoy the sea view in an informal atmosphere.
Plastic chairs, wooden tables gnawed by the sea... Hafa coffee does not try to give itself false airs, and that is what makes it so charming. Since 1921, all the people of Tangiers have been living in this essential address in the city. Mohamed Choukri and Paul Bowles sipped more than one mint tea in this popular café on the cliffside. Totally outdoors, Hafa Café offers a magnificent view of the Strait. It is above all the place where one discovers the famous and singular Tangierian atmosphere. A must.

Des terrasses qui domine Tanger avec une vue magnifique sur le port, la corniche et l'océan. On peut y prendre un snack ou simplement y boire un excellent thé à la menthe. Le service est souriant. On s'exprime en français et on peut payer en euros.

It is not in the city centre and is worth visiting. The view of the Straits of Gibraltar is exceptional and it is one of the few bars of Tangier where girls and boys can meet and even embrace itself.
