Valley surrounded by three gardens: American, Canadian, and British, as well as two symbolic and special trees.
Do you know the gardens surrounding the Memorial? You will discover two majestic trees with a particular symbolism: the first one was planted in 1988 by the President of the State of Israel at the time, the second, a ginkgo biloba (the only species to have survived Hiroshima) in 1997 by the fifteenth Dalai Lama. You will walk through the three gardens that make it up. The American, the Canadian and the British garden, commemorating the D-Day landings. They are also fabulous botanical and entomological reserves. The city of Caen can also be discovered through its gardens!
