This museum offers a panorama of life in Normandy from prehistory to the 20th century. The permanent exhibition is organised by theme throughout the rooms of the Logis du Gouverneur. With new exhibits being added all the time, educational booklets for children and treasure hunts, there’s never a dull moment. As for temporary exhibitions, they are held in the Rempart rooms, which are well worth a visit, and in the Ducs de Normandie Chessboard room, which is open to the public.

Musee très agréable, idéal avec des enfants car il y a une approche ludique (questionnaire-jeux), tablettes interactives...). Il y a des animations mensuelles proposées toutes l'année, il ne faut pas hésiter à s'inscrire... Les enfants en ressortent très contents et peuvent se défouler ensuite sur le terre plein de jeux à l'extérieur. Possibilité de pique-niquer à l'extérieur dans les jardins du chateau...
