CENTRE ANTIPOISON ET DE TOXICOVIGILANCE
The Centre Antipoison et de Toxicovigilance de Caen is a medical service located in a French university hospital. It is staffed by doctors, pharmacists and nurses who provide free, round-the-clock telephone assistance. Calls to poison control centers are recorded, and medical records are strictly confidential. In the event of intoxication, it is recommended not to give the victim anything to drink, nor to induce vomiting. Milk is not an antidote. It is important to call the Poison Control Center immediately. If the person is not breathing or conscious, call the SAMU (15). Personal information is collected to enable medical treatment by healthcare professionals. It is also advisable to keep the packaging and take photos of the products that caused the poisoning.
