Feeling peckish on the peninsula? If we had to recommend a table in this area, we'd invite you to push open the door of Chez Bertine (a contraction of Gilbert and Martine, Laura's parents). First comment: "Waouh", what a decor! Second effect: "yum", a real treat! All the more so now that chef Anthony Caillot (from A Contre Sens) is at the helm! His cuisine is healthy, simple and refined, with an emphasis on local produce. Things change, but the adage remains the same: here we "do good, do well".

Bertine is a modern restaurant in the heart of Caen, offering buckwheat-based dishes. Here, you can opt for a lunchtime menu including starter, main course and sweet crêpe. Try the Normandy tomme dips, buckwheat maki, buckwheat tartine ...Sweet treats such as cookies, strawberry tartar and ice cream are served for dessert. gros bémol : le temps de service : 45 min pour un plat en direct, en ayant précisé que nous étions pressés. la serveuse a su régir, heureusement sinon nous repartions sans manger : merci à elle.
