Subtle decoration in a restaurant in Caen run by a former cook of the English Royalty, using fresh produce.
This is an establishment that has the merit of existing at the end of a neighbourhood where there is not much time for lunch and even less at dinner time. Not far from the Abbey-aux-Dames, the hotel is sober, in the countryside style revisited! Honest cuisine based on fresh products. Think! The chef is in the kitchen very early in the morning and here is the rule of three that is applied to present you a nice menu: 3 dishes, 3 starters, and 3 desserts to choose from: Scrambled eggs with ham, roasted beef play - shallot sauce lenses and lemon tartlet. What more? An anecdote? Go… The chef was apparently a very good student and he would have cooked for a few members of the English royalty…
