Restaurant in Caen, opened since 2007, offering sushi, maki, sashimi, yakitori... following the Japanese tradition.

Woumayi has a small reputation among the city’s Japanese restaurants. The decor is sober. But here, it’s all about the food and the smiles on the faces of the hosts: Zhenyuan the father, Yi the mother, and Jia the daughter. Everything is homemade and handmade, as evidenced by the open kitchen where Yi prepares sushi, maki, California rolls, sashimi, and temaki right in front of you. She’s a stickler for ultra-fresh fish. Hot, raw (delicious sunomonos), eat-in, take-away... There’s something for every taste, appetite, and budget!

ma femme et moi nous y avons mangé, nous avons trouvé ça délicieux nous y reviendrons bientôt avec les enfants. des restaurants Japonnais j'en ais fais pas mal et un peu partout c'est le deuxième restaurant que je trouve excellent ou les plats sont frais et préparer comme au Japon. c'est vrai la déco est sobre mais les Japonnais aime ce qui est simple.

Rather disappointing finally! The setting really not great could pass if the content of your plate were perfect. It is not the case. A menu that you learn according to the orders that only the half of the dishes is available, a warm soup, a barbecue sauce worthy of mac and who do not normally in no way to be served in a Japanese restaurant, a chicken that is not at all on it is announced chicken. Be surprising and pleasant flavours that leaves still on a rather good impression.
