We tried out the new Bistrot Basque, and we weren’t disappointed! Gigantic but warm, we loved the patio, which you can explore in fine weather! The new location for this Caen staple (for twenty years) run by Céline and Stéphane is a real success story. The same warm, relaxed welcome and Basque-style decor. Baited by the delicious smells, we salivate while waiting for our dishes. And once you’ve been served, you’ll find the South on your plate: tapas, axoa, chipirons and fish parillada are a real treat. Not to be missed!

Le Bistrot Basque is a restaurant serving specialties from the Basque Country in Caen. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, it invites you to enjoy dishes based on carefully selected products .We offer a lunchtime menu: starter + main course or main course + dessert. For starters, you can choose from a plate of Serrano, croquetas with salsa sauce or marinated boquerones. As for the main courses, you can choose between a Hasparren plate, fish of the day or meat of the day. Crème brûlée, Olé rice, Basque cake or duo, sheep's milk cheeses...
