Approximately 60 km south of Garoua is the Lagdo hydro-electric dam on the Benue River, built from 1978 to 1984 thanks to Sino-Cameroon cooperation and inaugurated in 1986 by Paul Biya.In the eponymous lake live many crocodiles and hippos. On these banks you can visit a small fishing village, which is dominated by rocks with strange shapes.Excursions, trekkings and trips by the water are to be tested at the Blue lagoon camp, the site of rest and relaxation of Lagdo-Djiborde, a framework contrasting with the surrounding landscape.
