This traditional Moundang village is known for the architectural features of its houses. Grouped houses, each unit of which can contain a antichambre, a bedroom, two kitchens, several greniers (3 greniers on average), a mill, two entrance doors; rooms and kitchens are equipped with a light hole, and tiny courses allow you to move from one room to another. The palace of the Gôn (the village leader) is still a perfect example of a fortified case (or zadéné) box that should not be missed. You will also enjoy walking around the lakes, and possibly climbing the excursion to Gauthiot Falls.Since the decade 2000, the populations surrounding the lakes of The and Tréné, and the Binder-The wildlife reserve have formed local guidance and decision-making bodies (ILOD) to control and direct tourism development in respect of their natural environment. Upon arrival in The or Mombaroua, a guide can be made available to organise your stay as you wish.
