Ulica Maršala Tita
Major axis on the left bank. It runs behind the Old Bridge, serving the main train and bus station.
This street (Ulica Maršala Tita) is the main thoroughfare on the Left Bank. It runs behind the Old Bridge for 5.7 km from north to south, past the main bus and train stations, the National Theatre and the Vučjaković and Ćejvan-Ćehaja mosques. Named in honor of the leader of socialist Yugoslavia since 1950, it also preserves important ruins from the last war, such as those of the Razvitak department store (900 m north of the Old Bridge) and the girls' high school (Austro-Hungarian building opposite the Ćejvan-Ćehaja mosque).
