BARATASHVILI STREET

From Liberty Square (Tavisuplebis Moedani), Baratashvili qucha, running down to the bridge of the same name, skirts the ancient walls. These, like the balconies, have recently been renovated. This busy artery contrasts with the old town stretching behind the walls. Kote Abkhazi (rue Lesélidzé) leaves the Place de la Liberté to reach Meidan. Although touristic, it does not lack charm. It is lined with beautiful 19th century buildings, the Norashen and Javis Mam churches. The adjacent streets are to be explored.
