Admired by Alexandre Dumas, Pushkin or Andrei Tarkovski, with 15 centuries of history in the foothills of the Little Caucasus that dominate the Kura River, Tbilisi is more than the Georgian capital. It is undoubtedly the architectural jewel of the Caucasus. History of history, charm, diversity, way of life: The cosmopolitan megacity lies somewhere between the Georgian village, St. Petersburg, Isfahan, Istanbul and Naples. Built at one of the most strategic crossroads of Transcaucasia, an essential stage of any movement in the region, it derives its fruits from roads that cross it, connecting Europe with Asia, North and South. It holds the mark of the peoples who crossed it, populated, built, sometimes destroyed…Tbili means "hot" in Georgian. The name of the city is probably due to hot springs that feed its sulfure baths, but it may also come from its mild and temperate climate. Indeed, if summers are often hot, spring, autumn and winter are probably among the most pleasant in the country, warm and quite dry. In any case, it is good to live in the Georgian capital, on its boulevards, in its alleys, its small internal courtyards and its wine cellars, and few visitors remain insensitive to its charms.
