Here, we listened to the heartbeat of Tbilisi, in Kvémo Kala, the lower old town, articulated around Méïdan, "the square" in Persian. Opposite the Metekhi Bridge, it was the market square, where the kintos, the merchants of the old Tiflis dressed in ample costumes, sold fruit, spices, and all kinds of foodstuffs. Some works have given a very touristic aspect to the place. For the moment, this brand new architecture is limited to this district. You will find the authentic alleyways, still untouched, by going back to the Place de la Liberté.
