Beautiful half-timbered house with beamed rooms in Beuvron-en-Auge.
You couldn’t be better placed! In the morning, with your eyes still asleep, you will leave the manor house and go straight to the charming central square of the village, which has contributed to its reputation. Your night will have been perfect because things are not done by halves: the beautiful half-timbered house is set in the heart of a charming courtyard. The rooms with exposed beams have very comfortable bedding and a private bathroom. Breakfasts are taken in a charming room or in the courtyard when the weather is fine. Aux Trois Damoiselles, which takes its name from the owner’s three daughters, is therefore an ideal pied-à-terre for those who wish to fully enjoy Beuvron-en-Auge and its surroundings. Also to be discovered, the Manoir de Sens (the Mecca of boogie-woogie in Europe!), another accommodation site, located in the heart of a stud farm where the (same) owners will be happy to welcome you for a night or two in rooms or for a longer stay in a gîte with a visit of the estate and the trotter breeding site.

Ce n'est pas pour rien que Beuvron en Auge est classé : "plus beau village de France" ????
My room had no handle on the only window, so unable to.open it; nowhere to rest an open suitcase (there was a wooden stand/side table but it was probably antique and not very strong).
There's no bracket to hold the shower head at high level when in use, just waist height, so have to hand-hold the shower head.
Missing/misfiring skirting, and loose toilet seat.
Nothing major, and most would be easy fixes.
Lovely courtyard but bar only open limited times (seems to depend on number of guests).
Sadly owner wasn't willing to allow parking of a coupke of small classic cars in the courtyard, and the access gate from the public car park at the rear couldn't be opened (maintenance again) to allow them.in anyway.
Staff, Claire, was very welcoming and helpful, but only present at checkin and breakfast.
The village is very picturesque and was undergoing a face-lift of streetworks and car park which looked very smart.
In su.mary a reasonable place to stay but could easily be so much better.
