Bénouville boasts two washhouses, one of which was in use until the early 1960s.

For those who remain attentive to the testimonies of the past, to the life of the villages and their daily life, Bénouville possesses two washhouses, one of which, remarkable, was used until the beginning of the 1960s. It has recently been restored from a postcard, a unique testimony of its architecture. The second one is located on the chemin de la Fontaine, but is in a pitiful state. No archive allowing to give it back its original aspect, the enhancement of this heritage is limited to the rearrangement of stones and bricks that allow to imagine it.
