Restaurant offering imaginative home cooking with seasonal vegetables.

Behind the cathedral, the Alcôve has been given a makeover and now offers a floor with a view of the cathedral! Reservations are highly recommended, especially since the address is popular: imaginative and often emulsified home cooking at medium-low prices. The dishes are fresh and light, coloured with seasonal vegetables. A nice and well-concocted dessert finishes the meal. The decoration is neat, the welcome friendly, the service efficient. For us, a good and beautiful address, respectful, delicious, from which one leaves delighted and the palate enchanted.

Belle découverte, la cuisine était excellente et le service impeccable. J’ai adoré l’entrée avec le poulpe. Petit bémol pour le dessert crème chocolat que j’ai trouvé un peu trop riche et sucré (mais qui était tout de même très bon). Je reviendrai sans hésiter

Dinner menu was smaller than expected but that was more than made up for by the quality of plates- easily the best meal we had while staying a long weekend in Bayeux. I had the cod which may have had too much pepper for some but loved how it was offset with the corn crème and beans. My wife’s oxtail was simply perfection- she even wanted to order another plate of it!
