"Praia Aurora is the most famous artificial beach in Amarante. It is located on the right bank of the Tâmega River. On hot and sunny summer days, it is the ideal place for a swim, otherwise one comes here to rest and simply enjoy. A snack bar offers snacks and drinks during the day. On the other side, two diving boards have been installed. Depending on the time of the year, various water sports are offered: canoeing, paddling, pedal boats.

La Plage
Endroit aménagé très sympathique situé face à la belle ville d’Amarante. Nous y étions au mois de septembre et avons aperçu aucun baigneur…De plus la rivière ne paraissait pas très propre. C’est aussi un lieu de détente avec canoës et coin pique nique. Pas de surveillance. Visiter aussi cette ville très agréable avec de nombreux commerces et magnifiques monuments.
