Don't leave Mértola without a walk in the Minas! They compose a surrealist lunar landscape. These are gigantic abandoned copper mines. Camping enthusiasts will find fabulous spots on the shores of the dam and Lake da Tapada Grande. In the village of São Domingos, the locality has developed a beach by the lake (river praia) as well as a parking area for campers and camper vans (shade, snack bar, barbecue, open-air movies on weekends). Ideal for a nice moment of relaxation.
