On the route of Christ-e-Sharif starting from Hérât. Entry: $ 5. The Jam minaret of the th century is one of the most exceptional examples of Islamic architectural and decorative features. It is also one of the oldest minarets in the world, and only the minaret of Qutb Minar in New Delhi is Higher. This minaret is the only ghôride monument that is also preserved. The ghôride period, which ranges from 1000 to 1220, was marked by exceptional artistic creativity, whose minaret is a remnant. Its origin is also a mystery, although it can be seen from inscriptions dating from the ghôride period, as appears in the name Ghiyasuddin (1157-1202). Today the site is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, built on the south shore of the Hari, at the confluence of two valleys, surplombées by steep slopes, the Cobra minaret is located at 1 900 m above sea level, in the heart of the remote town of Ghor. It is extremely isolated, to the point that it was not discovered before 1943, when a pilot saw him from his plane. The situation of this minaret is dazzling and its setting impressive.
