MAUSOLEUM OF MIRWAIS SADIQ KHAN

In the heart of a pleasant garden is a marble mausoleum surmounted by an orange dome. This is where Born Khan Khan, the Son of Ismail Khan, is founded. His assassination in 2004, while he was Minister of Civil Aviation, had provoked serious clashes between the loyal militiamen to Ismail Khan (then governor of the province) and soldiers of the 17 ^th division of the Afghan army. These fighting had killed people in Hérât. The Lion of Hérât built for his son a mausoleum where he was buried with his two bodyguards. From the outside, behind the windows, you can see the tomb of the former minister: it is the one covered with plants and flowers.
