Starred restaurant offering seafood, meats, and desserts in Port-en-Bessin.
An infinite view of the sea, a delight on the plate. A stopover is required in this starred restaurant. A table could not be better placed to imagine the landing of June 6, 1944. You have in front of you the remains of the artificial harbour that you can approach, if you have not already done so, for a digestive walk (everything depends on the tides, you will have understood it). Don’t worry about the diet and, barely, the wallet. The bill may be that of the grandest days, but the place is historic, as much as the dish that leaves us with an unforgettable memory. Utah oysters, fish (sole, sea bream, skate...) and seafood are king on the menu. Try the tuna carpaccio, capers and lime and the sardines just "flashed", as simple as they are melting. The starred chef also perfectly combines meat and poultry such as Angus beef, crispy chicken ballottine and never forgets the mussel-fried enthusiasts or vegetarians. The desserts are perfect, especially the rum baba! The service is top-notch and attentive, just the right thing. If you visit out of season, know that another "Marine", such a friendly little sister, awaits you in the middle of winter in Port-en-Bessin!

Service décevant. Le serveur était directif et expéditif. Ce sont peut-être des qualités appréciables pour un pompier, mais pas pour un serveur qui se doit d'être accueillant et compréhensif. Et lorsque nous avons fait part de notre mécontentement, le serveur n'était pas près à entendre nos remarques. Dommage...
Mais voilà un peu déçu par une simple prestation servi en terrasse par Mathieu le 29/05/25 à 18h51.
Une bière pression et un verre de rosé pour un montant de 14,00€! C'est quand même un trois étoiles...
Mais si vous demandez des cacahuètes pour accompagner votre apéritif. On vous répond qu'il n'y en a pas!
Dommage puisque sur la seconde terrasse en front de mer et dépendant du même établissement. Nous constatons que la serveuse apporte chaque consommation avec des cacahuètes à profusion à partager sans modération.
Nous nous sommes certainement assis à la mauvaise terrasse. Ou le personnel n'est pas formé de la même façon en terme de prise en charge clients correspondants aux prestations d'un trois étoiles. C'est dommage, j'aimais bien cet établissement.
