This church dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria, houses two large towers, 73 meters high, inspired by the cathedral of Chartes
This church is dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria and stands on the site of an old medieval church. The neo-Gothic style church was designed by Pierre Cuypers and was the first highlight of his career. The church was built between 1861 and 1867 and cost 279,000 guilders. Note the two large towers, 73 meters high, inspired by the cathedral in Chartes. The church was restored after the damage of the Second World War. It has been listed since 1972
