CAFÉ SJIEK

This is one of our favorite addresses in Maastricht. The name of this CHIC restaurant is misleading because the atmosphere is rather relaxed. Sjiek's cuisine is brasserie style, but much more than that. The menu features local products. You can't reserve and you wait for a table to become available by leaning against the large block in the dining room. The terrace is very pleasant. The king and queen recently ate a local meat speciality there during their recent visit to Maastricht.
