A small harbor village in the north of the island of Textel, near which are most of the island's nature reserves

This small harbor village in the north of the island is the counterpart of T'Horntje in the south. Most of the island's nature reserves (including the De Krim campsite) are located nearby. The ferry to the other, wilder islands leaves from here. The lighthouse is about 1 kilometer away, and it is possible to visit it to admire the beautiful view. Even without this visit, you will have the breath cut by the superb spectacle offered, the very strong wind sweeps the superb white sand beach which sometimes seems to extend to infinity.

Depuis Oudeschild il faut à peu près 1h en vélo (beaucoup moins si vous avez le vent dans le dos, env. 30 min). Vous arrivez au pied d'un joli phare, pour 3,5€ vous pouvez monter tout en haut et le visiter (à chaque étage il y a des explications sur l'histoire du phare). Marcel (qui nous a vendu les tickets du phare) est très gentil et vous fera profiter de sa connaissance de l'île à grands renforts de conseils et d'astuces!
Par temps clair il y a une jolie vue sur les îles alentours et la terre. Profitez en aussi pour aller vous balader sur la jolie plage de sable fin!

The village is nothing extraordinary. Not really then what you must once here, it is to as quickly as possible lighthouse which must be 1 miles away (the 3rd visit but good a lighthouse remains a lighthouse then abstains to visit if you can), put your car and descends towards the beach feet. Once in front of this, you will have the cut breath!!!! Guaranteed! You will need then well 10 to 15 minutes before heading to the seaside going on fine sand. Bring kites, kite surfing... because the wind rather extremely blows. It is relaxing and unique pleasure to see this stretch on the right, on the left and in front of you. Moreover, the population will not come to be attached to you on our beaches in France. Then to enjoy and there are 2/3 snacks sell on the parking horns fried and sausages.
